About Me
Hello There, I am Colette McNamara to give me my full title but better known as Lette to my family and friends. I come originally from one side of County Limerick near Adare and now happily live at the other side of County Limerick near Murroe with my Husband Keith and a zoo of pets. A pup named Boo, two yellow belly slider turtles called Diablo and Squirt and five fish whose names change on a regular occasion.
Education and Interests
I graduated in May 2009 from Limerick School of Art and Design in Fine art Printmaking. My specialty was Digital print and multimedia and much fun was had while I attended college there. Before, during and after Art College I developed a slight infatuation with photography. I have been a photographer for over 7 years now and my weapons of the trade include A Cannon EOS 400D , Fuji FinePix S9600 And S5500 digital cameras for convenience, I also enjoy working with film and the Dark Room. I also make fun and creative digital Photoshop manipulations with use for both my art and photography. When I am not taking photos, or working part time in the gym over the weekends, or currently sitting an Interactive Media Masters in the University of Limerick I like to play with things. Namely, Lego, gadgets, interactive toys and video games mostly of the retro kind and I am very proud of my console collection ranging from 1987 to present day models.
Super Powers
As well as all this I have super powers, no, hear me out I really do or at least, that’s what I like to call them. I can Lipread, which I learned very conveniently unknown to myself while I was growing up before the powers that be discovered that my hearing was starting to deteriorate roughly from the age of 7. To aid my hearing I have had 11 operations throughout my life with little success and now my ears get to wear funky little jetpacks that allow me to hear better behind me than the direction im going in. I gained my second super power as a result of the operations and now I have olfactory response. That means I have a very sensitive nose and my favorite smell is freshly cut grass!
